As a clinical nutrition specialist something I feel strongly about is placing limitations on how we look at dis-ease and the treatment available to overcome poor health. At its basics – a diagnosis is effectively a name given to a group of symptoms; it often becomes ones identity. Whilst I greatly appreciate the seriousness of disease my frustration lay in how we can be self-limited by labels; limited in terms of treatment, limited in terms of prognosis and limited in terms of our own mindset.
>>>>Don’t hide behind a label
Treat your symptoms as a sign of why/how your body is out of balance, it’s a cry for help not a cry to be labelled. Once a diagnosis is given it is often the fate of our health journey, we feel comfort in giving a name to our symptoms, we become content and lose the motivation to resolve the underlying imbalance because its been dealt with – its been labelled and packed away.
If this resonates with you and you feel as though you’ve settled, then it might be time to open up the box and take strip away the label. As a natural nutritionist I can work with you to help you lose the labels and start addressing the underlying imbalance of what’s really driving your symptoms.
